Yvonne works with HEAV’s legislative team to protect and improve Virginia’s homeschooling laws. On behalf of HEAV, she recently initiated Governor Robert McDonnell’s certificate of recognition proclaiming Feb 2011 Virginia Home Education Month, and she continues to coordinate HEAV’s annual Day at the Capitol. Yvonne has a degree in elementary education and taught high school prior to homeschooling for 18 years.

Today she discusses what homeschoolers can look forward to at the upcoming Virginia Homeschool Convention, June 9-11, 2011.
